Requirements

What we're looking for

Degree or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering in EPC projects for industrial plants.
Experience in desalination or water treatment (valuable).
Proficiency in electrical software: ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, or other similar tools.
Knowledge of NFPA, IEC, and IEEE standards.
Good analytical, technical coordination, and decision-making skills in a project environment.
Fluent English.

The role

To join our Industrial Plants and Infrastructure unit, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer with experience in EPC projects for desalination plants, who has participated in the technical development of projects from the engineering phase through to construction and commissioning.

The selected person will have a key role within the project, coordinating disciplines, technically managing suppliers and subcontractors, and providing site support, within the framework of EPC contracts.

What you'll do

The selected person will be responsible for performing the following functions:

Lead the electrical design in EPC projects for desalination plants, including MV and LV distribution systems, MCC, grounding networks, lightning protection, lighting, VFDs, and cable sizing and routing.
Perform electrical studies in an EPC environment: load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination.
Guarantee compliance with international regulations and standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA) and project contractual requirements.
Coordinate technically with civil, mechanical, process, and I&C disciplines during all phases of the project.
Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, VFDs, etc.).
Evaluate technical offers from suppliers and recommend solutions during the EPC procurement phase.
Supervise subcontractors and suppliers during the electrical installation phases on site.
Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with deadlines.
