Requirements

What we're looking for

Candidates with certified training in mechanics, mechatronics, or a similar program in the automotive industry.
Minimum of 10 years of experience managing a workshop.
Proven experience in repair and mechanical maintenance, preferably with recreational vehicles or similar vehicles.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and spare parts.
Experience in budget management and a results-oriented approach.
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Spanish proficiency (mandatory); English is a plus.
Ability to work in Spain, with a valid driver's license and confidence driving a campervan (mandatory).
Availability to work on weekends and holidays.

The role

We are looking for a proactive Mechanic to oversee our workshop operations in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will coordinate a team of mechanics, set repair priorities, manage spare parts and inventory, and maintain budget control, all while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

What you'll do

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of mechanics, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance evaluations.
Provide hands-on guidance and training to ensure team members develop technical skills and meet company standards.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Plan, prioritize, and oversee repair and maintenance tasks for campervans to minimize downtime.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety regulations.
Act as the main point of contact for escalated technical issues or complex repairs.
Monitor levels of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring availability to meet operational needs.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely purchasing and negotiate cost-effective agreements.
Maintain accurate inventory records and implement cost control measures.
Track and report on workshop performance indicators, including repair times and budget compliance.
Propose process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the workplace.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
