About the role

We are looking to incorporate professionals into our Albacete plant to comprehensively manage and coordinate the completion activities of aircraft engine overhauls, ensuring material availability, compliance with customer-committed deadlines, and proper coordination among the different areas involved (Production, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, Engineering, KAM, Repairs, Quality, and Inspection), with the aim of guaranteeing on-time and on-cost deliveries. They will act as a liaison point between the different operational areas, providing visibility into the status of materials and engines.

What you'll do

Main responsibilities

1. Comprehensive management of engine overhauls

  • Lead the completion of assigned overhauls from the end of inspection through to delivery to the customer.
  • Ensure compliance with planning milestones, costs, and committed dates.
  • Prepare and keep the execution plan for each project up to date.

2. Coordination of materials and repairs

  • Manage the tracking of critical materials, repairs, exchanges, and subcontracting.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks that may impact the delivery date.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Logistics, and suppliers the availability of the components required for the overhaul.

3. Monitoring of engine status

  • Analyze the actual progress of each overhaul on a daily basis.
  • Monitor work in progress and associated risks.
  • Promote action plans to recover schedule or cost deviations.

4. Cross-departmental coordination

  • Act as a liaison between Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Inspection, Planning, and Program Management.
  • Ensure that all areas have the information needed to meet project objectives.
  • Facilitate decision-making in the event of technical or operational issues.

5. Meeting management and communication

  • Lead periodic follow-up meetings on deliveries and overhauls.
  • Prepare status reports and present project status to the various stakeholders.
  • Proactively communicate risks, deviations, and support needs.

6. Priority management and delivery compliance

  • Establish priorities based on commitments made to customers.
  • Coordinate the actions needed to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Drive the rapid resolution of issues affecting engine completion.

7. Continuous improvement

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and Kaizen events.
  • Contribute to the standardization of completion processes.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

A profile with technical aeronautical training is required, with an understanding of the materials, components, and needs inherent to maintenance operations. Logistics knowledge will be valued but does not replace this technical requirement.

Mandatory requirements

  • Higher-level degree in Aeromechanical Maintenance or in Maintenance of Electronic and Avionic Systems on Aircraft, or a relevant complementary qualification.
  • Technical knowledge of components, materials, and documentation specific to the aeronautical environment.
  • Ability to plan, set priorities, and simultaneously monitor different needs.
  • Proficiency in computer tools and management systems.
  • Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
