What we're looking for

More than 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance departments within the food industry.
Experience in:
Management of food quality and safety systems
Certification and customer audits
Document management and technical specifications
Management of non-conformities and incidents
Interpretation of food legislation
Microbiological and chemical risk assessment
Relationship with external laboratories
Management of international customer requirements
Management of daily quality records and documentation
Conducting plant sampling
Professional-level English
It is considered especially important that the person has:
- Analytical capacity and critical thinking.
- Autonomy and organization.
- Good technical judgment and practical orientation.
- Good communication with clients, auditors, and internal teams.

The role

We are looking to hire a person to lead the Quality Assurance department of a company in the agri-food and international export sector. The position is located in Albacete.

What you'll do

Reporting to the company's Operations Director, you will be responsible for:

Interpretation and application of national and international food regulations.
Comprehensive management of quality and food safety documentation.
Technical risk assessment and decision-making based on scientific criteria.
Management of audits and follow-up on corrective actions.
Review of analytical results and technical interpretation skills.
Simultaneous management of multiple projects and priorities.

The position requires a transversal vision of Quality Assurance, combining document management, regulatory interpretation, technical evaluation, and support for production, Customer Service, and sales. The position combines both technical and management functions as well as day-to-day operational activities related to quality and food safety in the plant.
