We are looking for a PROCESS ENGINEERING and CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER, who will be part of the Engineering Department.

What you'll do

Lead the design, development, implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of industrial processes throughout their entire life cycle, ensuring they are robust, scalable, efficient, and repeatable, through simultaneous work with R&D during the development of new products and subsequently leading the evolution of transferred industrial processes, guaranteeing compliance with Quality, Safety, Environment, Occupational Risk Prevention requirements, regulations applicable to the Medical Device sector, and the standards defined by the Organization.

  • Lead the Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement Department, developing, coordinating, and evaluating the team.
  • Define the Department's Strategic Plan, aligning it with the Organization's objectives.
  • Manage the assigned budget and human, technical, and economic resources.
  • Prioritize and supervise the project portfolio.
  • Define, monitor, and track the Department's KPIs.
  • Drive the culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the Organization.
  • Participate from the initial stages of new product development as part of the multidisciplinary team alongside R&D.
  • Design, develop, and implement industrial processes simultaneously with product development, defining production flow, resources, technology, facilities, methods, and times.
  • Ensure that processes are robust, repeatable, scalable, efficient, and validatable.
  • Define technical requirements for new facilities, equipment, and tooling, participating in industrial CAPEX planning.
  • Lead the implementation, validation, and transfer of industrial processes to Production.
  • Define, together with Operations, the strategy and industrial capabilities necessary for the Organization's growth.
  • Define the area's technological roadmap, identifying and evaluating new technologies, processes, and automation and digitalization solutions in collaboration with R&D and Operations.
  • Promote the incorporation of new technologies that improve the competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of industrial processes.
  • Lead the industrialization of new processes, ensuring compliance with defined deadlines, costs, and objectives.

Industrial Process Life Cycle Management (Once the process has been transferred):

  • Analyze process performance to identify improvement opportunities and ensure stability, repeatability, and guarantee future scalability.
  • Validate process modifications before they are implemented in production.
  • Ensure the updating and traceability of technical documentation associated with the processes (Process Technical Dossier).
  • Guarantee compliance with Quality, Safety, Environment, Occupational Risk Prevention requirements, and applicable regulations throughout the entire life cycle of the process.

Continuous Improvement (Once the product/process has been transferred, provide support to Operations in):

  • Increasing productivity and improving operational efficiency (OEE).
  • Reducing costs, waste, cycle times, and process variability.
