Public Concessions Financial Analyst

Education:

• Degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, or another qualification equivalent to a Level 3 Master's according to MECES (Spanish Framework of Qualifications for Higher Education), including degrees associated with first and second cycle technical education.

Mandatory experience, competencies, and knowledge:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an investment financial analyst. It is mandatory to handle standard analysis indicators, such as discount rates, maximum payback periods, cash flows, NPV, IRR, among others.
• Knowledge of investment analysis methodology, mastery of standard indicators, such as discount rates, maximum payback periods, cash flows, and profitability calculation.
• Full professional competence in Excel as a tool for investment analysis. Excel certifications or similar will be highly valued.

Valuable criteria:

• From 3 years of professional experience as an investment financial analyst.
• Some experience in the preparation and/or drafting of tender specifications for service or works concession contracts in accordance with the Law on Public Sector Contracts (LCSP), or experience in the analysis and preparation of bids for public concession tenders.

At Izertis, we are looking to expand our team by bringing on a Financial Analyst to join one of our most important clients in the public sector.

WHAT WILL YOUR DAILY TASKS BE?

As a main task, you will be responsible for the development of the analyses and studies required for the evaluation of concession contract files.

• Review and validation of the information associated with each file.
• Analysis of the approach and justification of the concession and evaluation of the main characteristics with which it has been configured.
• Detailed analysis of the economic and financial information of the concession, evaluating the suitability of the figures used in the calculations, as well as the adequacy to market values. Specifically, the scope of the analysis will cover the following aspects:
• Analysis of the cost estimation and the expected revenue forecast, based on the demand forecasts projected during the execution of the concession.
• Analysis of the economic-financial feasibility study proposed by the contracting administration and recalculation of the economic-financial model, verifying compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements. In concessions where investment exists, the values of the financial parameters of the investment will be reviewed, including, among others, cash flows, the discount rate, net present value, or the internal rate of return. In those concessions without investment, the turnover figure will be analyzed, as well as the expected result that the concessionaire company will generate during the execution of the concession.
• Analysis of the calculation of the proposed term for the duration of the concession. Analysis of the transfer of operational risk to the concessionaire, evaluation of the reasonableness of the concession results (profits) in the different foreseen scenarios, and cost-benefit analysis of the concession project.
• Preparation of the final evaluation report presenting the results of the analyses contemplated in the previous points.

The work will be performed at the client's offices in Madrid under a hybrid modality.
