Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer (Palma de Mallorca)

· Solid experience in data engineering and end-to-end analytics.

· Knowledge of data ingestion and extraction processes.

· Experience with Python and PySpark in complex data environments.

· Regular work with Parquet files, Athena tables, and Delta-based solutions.

· Experience in Databricks environments and process orchestration with Airflow.

· Ability to lead technical initiatives and communicate with functional and business profiles.

The position is part of a Data team responsible for the comprehensive management of data associated with reservation processing and hotel business analytics. This is a key role within a mature team that covers the end-to-end analytics cycle and is facing a strategic moment of re-engineering and technological modernization.

· Complete re-engineering of data processing, addressing the modernization of the existing architecture.

· Collaborate continuously with the business in requirement gathering and their translation into technical solutions.

· Design and develop data extraction, ingestion, storage, and transformation processes.

· Guarantee the correct construction of the analytical layer and the provision of information for Power BI.

· Participate in the definition and execution of the technological evolution strategy, including the progressive migration of Databricks.

· Coordinate the transition towards architectures based on AWS and Microsoft Fabric.

· Lead the progressive decommissioning of Spark processes in favor of SQL database-based solutions.

· Ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of the data used by the revenue and hotel teams.
