Demonstrable Cloud Experience: Minimum of [5-7] years of hands-on experience designing and implementing complex solutions on the major platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
Solid Infrastructure Fundamentals: Deep knowledge of networking (VPC, peering, DNS, firewalls), storage systems, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
Integration Architecture: Experience connecting cloud environments with on-premise systems (hybrid architectures). Understanding of APIs, event buses, and integration patterns.
Software development experience, familiarity with Python, Node/JS, or Java, as well as with observability and quality tools (Sonar, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/EFK, Jest, Cypress, Selenium or similar).
Automation and DevSecOps: Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM) and CI/CD principles. Practical knowledge of container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift). Solid knowledge of the software lifecycle (from design and development to deployment and maintenance).
Security and Compliance: Experience in designing secure architectures, applying "secure-by-design" principles and knowledge of regulations such as ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.
Business Acumen: The critical ability to understand the "why" behind technical requests. You do not accept a requirement without understanding the business value it seeks to generate.
Exceptional Communication and Empathy: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and to listen actively, understanding the client's concerns and language. You are a translator between worlds.
Leadership by Influence: You will not manage a direct team, but you must be able to guide, influence, and mentor delivery engineers and earn the trust of client leaders through your knowledge and judgment.
Complex Problem Solving: You have an analytical and structured mindset. When faced with a problem, you are able to break it down, evaluate multiple solutions, and make informed decisions, even with incomplete information.
Patience and Resilience: You understand that working integrated within a client is a marathon, not a sprint. You know how to navigate complex organizations and handle ambiguity.
Professional certifications in any of the public clouds (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
Previous experience in consulting roles or with managed service providers.
Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
Act as the primary technical and trusted point of contact for client stakeholders, from engineering teams to IT management.
Develop a deep and holistic understanding of the client's environment: not only their cloud infrastructure, but their legacy applications, their dependencies, their business processes, and their organizational culture.
Translate the client's business objectives into an evolving and pragmatic technological roadmap, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization, innovation, and cost savings.
Lead co-creation workshops and design sessions to align Kyndryl's capabilities with the client's emerging needs, challenging their preconceived ideas when necessary to ensure the best solution.
Design robust, scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring they integrate natively with the client's existing systems.
Serve as the highest technical authority within the account, providing delivery teams (engineers, system administrators) with detailed designs, governance principles, and best practices to follow.
Act as an escalation point for the most complex technical challenges faced by the delivery teams, guiding them through problem resolution and ensuring the integrity of the original design.
Validate that the final implementation of solutions corresponds to the defined architecture, guaranteeing quality and operational excellence.
Establish and maintain a cloud architecture governance framework within the account, ensuring compliance with both Kyndryl's and the client's standards.
Document the current and future state of the client's architecture, creating a single source of truth to serve as a guide for all initiatives.
Stay at the forefront of technology trends and continuously evaluate new services and tools that could deliver tangible value to the client.
