Azure Backend Engineer – Cloud Native & AI-Assisted Development

✅ What we need from you

It is essential to have at least 3 years of experience in backend development with .NET, with a special focus on:

· .NET / C# Development: solid experience with modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, Dependency Injection, configuration, logging, and error management.

· Design and development of REST APIs, including contract definition, versioning, authentication/authorization, validation, and documentation with OpenAPI/Swagger.

· Microservices architectures: design of decoupled services, synchronous and asynchronous communication, resilience, observability, and error management.

· Azure Functions: development of HTTP, event-driven, and background processing functions, including triggers and bindings.

· Azure Integration: experience working with services such as Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Storage Queues/Blob Storage to build event-driven architectures and system integration.

· Azure Key Vault and secure management of secrets, certificates, and sensitive configuration.

· Knowledge of Managed Identities, Entra ID, and OAuth2/OIDC for authentication between applications and Azure services.

· Experience working with SQL Server / Azure SQL and data access from .NET, ideally using Entity Framework Core.

· Knowledge of Docker and .NET application containerization.

· Experience working with Git and CI/CD processes, understanding how an application moves from code to different environments.

· Real experience using AI-based development assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar tools, not just for code autocompletion, but as a regular part of the development cycle.

We expect you to be able to use AI to generate, review, refactor, document, and test code, while always maintaining technical judgment over what is generated.

🔍 It adds a lot to us if you also:

· Have worked with event-driven architectures and patterns such as Pub/Sub, queues, topics, or asynchronous processing.

· Have experience deploying or developing applications that run on Kubernetes, working with containers, configuration, secrets, health checks, scaling, and basic troubleshooting.

· Know microservices design patterns such as API Gateway, Circuit Breaker, Retry, Outbox, Saga, or CQRS.

· Have experience with Azure Container Apps in addition to AKS.

· Have worked with Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics for observability and troubleshooting.

· Have knowledge of Azure API Management (APIM): API publishing and consumption, policies, security, versioning, and API lifecycle management.

· Know Redis / Azure Managed Redis and caching strategies.

· Have worked with Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases.

· Understand Infrastructure as Code concepts, especially Terraform, although we do not expect you to be a specialist.

· Have worked with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

· Have experience writing unit, integration, and contract tests.

· Have used tools such as SonarQube, GitHub Advanced Security, Snyk, or similar to improve code quality and security.

· Have worked with Azure OpenAI / Microsoft Foundry, Semantic Kernel, or AI model integration within applications.

· Have worked with MCP, development agents, skills, repository instructions, or agentic workflows to improve the context received by AI tools during development.

· Have a technical background (Computer Science, Telecommunications, etc.).

· Are proficient in English.

· Have an official Microsoft Azure certification.

Tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and other AI assistants allow development to be greatly accelerated, but we still need good engineers capable of designing the solution, making technical decisions, integrating systems, and ensuring that the generated code is maintainable, secure, and production-ready.

That is where you come in.

We are looking for a person with solid experience in backend development with .NET and Azure, accustomed to building APIs, microservices, and cloud-native integrations.

You will work on solutions where Azure is a fundamental part of the architecture, using services such as AKS, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, or Application Insights, among others.

And we want AI to be part of your usual way of developing: from generating and refactoring code to creating tests, documentation, reviewing implementations, or accelerating problem-solving.
