What we're looking for

University degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical, API, fine chemical, or CDMO environments.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GMP regulations.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
Ability to manage budgets, planning, and risk control.
High level of English.

Nice to have

Experience in API manufacturers or fine chemical companies.
Participation in plant expansion projects, new production lines, or industrial investments.
Knowledge of technology transfer, process scale-up, and GMP manufacturing.
Experience in contractor management, commissioning, or facility startup.
Knowledge of process safety, HAZOP, or ATEX environments.

The role

At Manpower Professional, we are looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join a leading company in the pharmaceutical sector specializing in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).

The selected person will be responsible for leading investment and industrial engineering projects, coordinating the different areas involved and guaranteeing the correct execution of projects in terms of quality, cost, deadline, and safety.

What you'll do

Lead engineering projects and industrial investments (CAPEX) from the conceptual phase to commissioning.
Manage the planning, scope, budget, resources, and risks of assigned projects.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams composed of Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Process Development, and EHS.
Supervise the execution of projects for the expansion, improvement, and industrialization of production processes.
Coordinate suppliers, external engineering firms, equipment manufacturers, and contracting companies.
Guarantee compliance with GMP standards, quality, safety, and applicable regulations.
Participate in industrial scale-up, technology transfer, and process optimization activities.
Perform monitoring of milestones, deliverables, and project indicators.
Support commissioning, validation, qualification, and transfer to Operations activities.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase the efficiency and productivity of the facilities.
