Purchasing Manager

• University degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Industrial Organization), Business Administration, Economics, or similar.

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position within a Purchasing department.

• Experience in the purchase of mechanical components in industrial environments or the automotive sector will be valued.

• High level of English. Knowledge of Italian and/or French will be valued.

• Good command of Excel, data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar), and experience working with ERP.

• Availability to travel both nationally and internationally.

• A person with negotiation skills, an analytical orientation, organizational skills, autonomy, and an orientation toward continuous improvement.

• Good communication skills and ease of working transversally with different departments.

• Direct incorporation into a consolidated industrial company with international projection.

At Marlex, we are collaborating with an industrial company with an international presence that currently needs to hire a PURCHASING MANAGER

We are looking for a person with experience in strategic purchasing within industrial environments, negotiation skills, and a results orientation, who wants to participate in international projects and contribute to the optimization of the supply chain.

• Define and implement the strategy for the assigned purchasing category, aligned with business objectives.

• Analyze internal needs, the market, and spend to identify optimization and cost reduction opportunities.

• Search for, select, approve, and develop national and international suppliers.

• Lead sourcing, RFQ, and negotiation processes regarding prices, commercial conditions, quality, and deadlines.

• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement actions.

• Manage incidents with suppliers and coordinate the necessary actions with the different departments of the company.

• Participate in the development of new products, coordinating purchasing activities with project teams.

• Coordinate engineering modifications with suppliers, ensuring compliance with deadlines, costs, and quality standards.

• Collaborate with the Quality, Operations, and Engineering departments to guarantee supplier approval and process improvement.

• Prepare reports, indicators, and presentations related to the assigned category.

• Manage and keep supplier information, rates, and prices updated in the ERP.

• Perform occasional travel to suppliers, production plants, and international trade fairs.
