From Paul Marlex, we collaborate with a leading construction company specialized in Civil Works, which is looking to add to its technical team a Studies Specialist to enhance its contracting and execution capabilities.

What will your mission be in the company? As a Civil Works Studies Technician, you will be responsible for analyzing the technical and economic feasibility of projects, ensuring the competitiveness and accuracy of submitted bids:

• Project Analysis: Detailed review of tender specifications, technical projects, and reports to identify key points and risks.
• Budgeting and Costs: Preparation of detailed budgets, quantity takeoffs, and analysis of direct and indirect costs using specific tools (Presto or others).
• Request for Quotes: Management and negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best technical and economic solutions.
• Tender Preparation: Preparation of technical and economic documentation for public and private tenders (scheduling, quality plans, environment, etc.).
• Site Visits: Conducting technical site visits to assess work units and local conditions.
• Technical Optimization: Proposing alternatives or technical improvements that add value and competitive advantage to the company's bids.

• Technical education: Civil Engineering, Public Works Engineering, or Technical Architecture.
• Demonstrable experience of at least 3-5 years in preparing studies and budgets for civil works (urban development, hydraulics, roads, etc.).
• Expert proficiency in budgeting software (such as Presto) and drawing/design tools (AutoCAD). Knowledge of scheduling programs (MS Project / Primavera) will be valued.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong insight for detecting errors or improvements during the project phase.
• Negotiation skills and excellent organizational abilities to work under delivery deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and availability for occasional travel to site visits.
