What we're looking for

Minimum experience: 2 years in a similar position.

Demonstrable experience in fleet management, preferably in road freight transport.
Knowledge of mechanics and maintenance of industrial vehicles.
Experience coordinating workshops, suppliers, and drivers.
Good proficiency in Excel and IT management tools.
Organizational and planning skills.
Analytical skills and ability to resolve issues.
Autonomy and decision-making ability.
Availability to participate in roadside assistance on-call shifts.

Nice to have

Experience in transport companies with their own fleet.
Knowledge of cost management and control.
Experience with renting and telemetry.
Experience in the improvement and implementation of procedures.
C+E driving license.

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

Stable contract.
Salary: Based on experience and knowledge.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 13:30 and from 14:30 to 17:00.
Participation in roadside assistance on-call shifts, according to departmental organization.
Possibility of working some Saturdays per month for the review and analysis of the fleet's status.
Possibility of professional development and growth within the department.

The role

At Marlex People, we are collaborating with a major company in the transport sector that is looking to hire a Fleet Manager to join its Fleet department.

We are looking for a person with experience in transport fleet management, technical knowledge of industrial vehicles, and the ability to combine operational, technical, and administrative management.

The selected person will be responsible for coordinating and supervising fleet maintenance, managing incidents, controlling costs, and collaborating on the improvement of departmental processes.

What you'll do

Planning and monitoring of preventive and corrective maintenance.
Control of vehicle availability, breakdowns, and immobilizations.
Coordination and monitoring of repairs with internal and external workshops.
Management of technical incidents and roadside assistance.
Coordination with drivers, workshops, suppliers, and other departments.
Management and updating of files and maintenance histories.
Supervision of budgets, repair orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
Monitoring and analysis of maintenance and repair costs.
Preparation of reports and indicators regarding availability, incidents, and costs.
Task monitoring using Excel, Microsoft Planner, and fleet management tools.
Participation in the creation and improvement of work procedures.
Proposal of improvements to optimize fleet availability and management.
Support to the Fleet Manager in the organization and planning of the department.
