Structural Simulation Engineer (FEM)

- Knowledge of structural simulation (static, dynamic, and fatigue analysis), preferably in the Defense sector.

- Demonstrable experience of between 3 and 5 years in the use of finite element calculation tools, especially ANSYS.

- Ability to generate detailed, clear technical documentation oriented towards both engineering environments and clients or certification bodies.

- Knowledge of MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification standards.

- Skill to correlate simulation results with physical tests or experimental data.

- Occasional national and international travel.

- Knowledge of composite materials, including their mechanical properties, structural behavior, and design and dimensioning criteria.

Metrica is looking for a Structural Simulation Engineer with FEM tools, with 3 years of experience for a Defense Sector project.

- Structural simulation service through the use of FEM tools.

- Structural calculation and dimensioning: Perform the analysis, calculation, and dimensioning of structures, guaranteeing their strength, stability, stiffness, and functionality.

- Structural modeling and analysis: Develop calculation models using specialized software, analyze the behavior of structures, and evaluate stresses, deformations, displacements, and stability conditions.

- Optimization of structural solutions: Propose design alternatives that allow for the optimization of material consumption, costs, execution times, and project viability, while maintaining the required safety margins.

- Preparation of technical documentation: Prepare calculation reports, technical reports, calculation notes, specifications, and supporting documentation for the structural design.

- Quality control and review of calculations: Review the results obtained, check the consistency of the calculation models, and ensure the traceability and quality of the generated technical documentation.

- Interdisciplinary coordination: Collaborate with different teams to guarantee the correct integration of the provided solutions.

- Technical assistance during qualification: Resolve technical queries, analyze incidents during the qualification phase, and propose solutions.

- Project monitoring and planning: Manage assigned tasks, meet established deadlines, and maintain fluid communication with the project manager and the rest of the technical team.
