We are looking to hire a Structural Design and Calculation Consultant with experience in finite element analysis (FEM) and Ansys Mechanical, to participate in high-value engineering projects related mainly to the naval and offshore sectors, as well as other industrial environments.

We are looking for a profile with a technical engineering background oriented towards structural calculation, capable of understanding structural behavior, interpreting drawings, developing FEM models, and evaluating solutions from calculation and simulation to post-processing of results and preparation of technical documentation.

You will participate in the design and verification of structural solutions, working with simulation tools such as Ansys Mechanical and collaborating with design teams and other engineering disciplines, as well as with clients.

Knowledge and experience in the use of generative AI and AI tools applied to the workplace are required, in line with Accenture's commitment to the responsible and effective use of AI.

• Design and verify structural solutions for naval, offshore, and industrial engineering projects, performing load calculations and ULS, SLS, and FLS limit state assessments in accordance with applicable technical requirements.
• Develop finite element (FEM) models using Ansys Mechanical, including structural idealization, definition of geometries and boundary conditions, application of loads, execution of analysis, and post-processing of results.
• Interpret drawings and engineering documentation and translate structural requirements into calculation and simulation models, considering regulations and standards such as DNV, Lloyd's Register (LR), Bureau Veritas (BV), and/or Eurocodes depending on the project.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and models of the structural solution, coordinating with design disciplines and collaborating with the client in the analysis and resolution of technical issues.
• Develop structural analyses using FEM, from geometry preparation and model definition to the interpretation and post-processing of results.
• Use Ansys Mechanical to perform structural simulations and verify the behavior of proposed solutions.
• Calculate and verify loads and ULS, SLS, and FLS limit states.
• Interpret structural drawings and technical engineering documentation.
• Design structural solutions that meet the technical requirements of naval, offshore, or industrial projects.
• Prepare the documentation and technical reports associated with the analyses performed.
• Coordinate the delivery of structural drawings and models with the design teams involved in the project.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems related to the proposed structural solutions, maintaining technical dialogue with clients.

The position is preferably based in Madrid, although applications located in A Coruña, Cádiz, and Cartagena will also be considered.
