What you'll do

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations applicable to restaurant operations in Spain and Portugal, with a special focus on food safety, sustainability, and operational requirements.
  • Analyze, interpret, and coordinate the implementation of regulations related to food safety, waste management, food waste, environmental requirements, and packaging regulations.

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Development (NPD), and Supply Chain departments to ensure proper coordination of commercial launches.
  • Prepare and update nutritional, allergen, and other regulatory information associated with new products and campaigns.
  • Provide technical support to the Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) area, integrating legal requirements into procedures, operational standards, and training materials.
  • Participate in audits, official inspections, and corrective action plans derived from detected incidents or non-compliances.
  • Conduct occasional visits to restaurants and other operational sites to support projects, audits, or improvement initiatives.

Who are we looking for (M/F/D)?

  • University degree in Food Science and Technology, Veterinary Science, Nutrition, Biology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Previous experience in Quality, Food Safety, Compliance, or highly regulated environments.
  • Solid knowledge of food legislation applicable in Spain and/or Portugal.
  • Valuable experience or knowledge of sustainability regulations, waste management, carbon footprint, and environmental requirements with operational impact.
  • Previous experience in organized restaurant chains, food retail, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of European packaging regulations and associated regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and communicate them clearly and practically to different stakeholders within the organization.
  • Autonomous, proactive profile with the ability to adapt quickly to dynamic and changing environments.
  • Strong communication skills, cross-functional collaboration, and relationship management with corporate areas, suppliers, and franchisees.
  • Advanced level of English, essential for participating in meetings, presentations, and international projects with Europe and the United States.
  • Availability for occasional travel within Spain and Portugal, as well as occasional trips at the European level (on average once a month).
