The role

An important industrial group in the chemical sector is looking to hire a Raw Material Purchasing Technician to provide support to the procurement and purchasing area in an international environment. On-site position in Masquefa with professional progression towards negotiation and strategic supplier management functions.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the selected candidate will assume the following responsibilities:

Manage the procurement of raw materials necessary for productive activity.
Monitor orders and guarantee the correct supply of materials.
Keep the commercial conditions and rates agreed upon with suppliers up to date.
Provide administrative and operational support to the purchasing department.
Collaborate in the management of more than 1,000 references of raw materials and auxiliary products.
Analyze prices, costs, and purchasing conditions together with the purchasing and finance departments.
Progressively participate in negotiations with manufacturers, distributors, and strategic national and international suppliers.
Coordinate incidents related to supplies, delivery times, and documentation.
Collaborate with production, planning, logistics, and finance to ensure operational continuity.
Manage and record information in the corporate ERP.
Provide support in processes linked to imports and international trade.
Act as backup for the purchasing area when necessary.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures of the department.

Who are we looking for (M/F/D)?

The selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

University or technical degree related to Supply Chain, Administration, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
Previous experience of between 2 and 5 years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain positions within the chemical, paints, coatings, or similar industries.
Knowledge of raw materials such as resins, pigments, additives, or industrial chemical products is valued.
High level of English is essential for dealing with international suppliers.
Knowledge of purchasing processes, cost analysis, and supplier management.
Experience working with ERP, with SAP and other business management systems being especially valued.
Experience or knowledge in imports is highly valued.
Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented profile.
Ability to work in a team and operate in dynamic and industrial environments.
Interest in evolving professionally towards negotiation functions and greater responsibilities within the purchasing area.
