The role
What you'll do
- Develop and carry out technical software leadership: design, development, and integration of advanced software solutions for Navantia Sistemas products and systems, defining architectures, selecting technologies, and ensuring the application of software engineering best practices. Act as a technical reference in solving complex problems and in the technological evolution of products.
- Perform software specification and documentation: drafting software requirements, associated technical documentation, and generating deliverables that ensure the understanding, maintenance, and evolution of the product.
- Carry out verification, testing, and quality: defining testing strategies, supervising verification and validation activities, establishing acceptance criteria, and ensuring compliance with quality, robustness, cybersecurity, and reliability standards required by critical systems and naval platforms.
- Develop system and network architectures: design and lead the integration of complex technological architectures, including distributed software, computing infrastructures, networks, secure communications, and interoperability between systems, sensors, autonomous platforms, and command and control solutions.
- Collaborate on research, innovation, and technological development projects, participating in the creation of prototypes, demonstrators, and proofs of concept related to autonomous vehicles, collaborative systems, and new technological capabilities.
- Keep knowledge of the state of the art in autonomous systems, robotics, advanced software, simulation, AI, communications, and interoperability up to date, identifying application opportunities in the company's products and services.
