What you'll do
As a PROJECT H&S COORDINATOR, you will join the H&S area and take part in projects where your work will have a direct impact on the safety, prevention and well-being of people on site and in the field.
Your mission will be to guarantee a safe and healthy working environment on the assigned projects, promoting the occupational risk prevention culture, complying with current legislation and internal policies, and ensuring that activities are carried out under the highest occupational health and safety standards.
In this context, your main responsibilities will be:
Organize and manage preventive activities on-site and in offices, coordinating with production, engineering, and subcontractors.
Perform occupational risk assessments of project activities, identifying hazards and defining preventive measures.
Supervise the correct implementation of preventive measures in the field, verifying the proper use of PPE and collective protections.
Perform periodic safety inspections on-site and issue follow-up reports.
Manage and follow up on incidents, unsafe acts, accidents, and corresponding investigations.
Coordinate business activities with contractors and subcontractors.
Provide training, inductions, and safety talks to both internal and subcontracted personnel.
Prepare, review, and control preventive documentation, including PSS annexes, procedures, work permits, and ATS.
Participate in coordination meetings with the client, technical management, and internal teams.
Supervise critical works such as lifting maneuvers, electrical works, excavations, and work at heights.
Control the status and correct use of emergency equipment, signage, and protection means.
Manage internal and external audits and inspections regarding OHS.
Monitor safety indicators and prepare periodic OHS reports.
Integrate the guidelines of the Integrated Management System regarding quality, environment, and health and safety.
Support the preventive planning of site activities together with production and project management.
Verify the aptitude and training of personnel for the performance of specific tasks.
