The role

As an extra kitchen assistant, you will work in close contact with kitchen supervisors and cooks, and you will assist them by performing a series of food preparation tasks. You will also carry out all necessary cleaning, washing, and preparation tasks in the kitchen to ensure the smooth running of operations.

What you'll do

Prepare and preserve the ingredients needed for service according to recipes or menus.
Check and ensure the correct use of appliance temperatures and food items.
Assist in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for daily operations according to recipes/menus within company guidelines.
Monitor the amount of food prepared and the portions served.
Knowledge and application of the FIFO system.
Keeping a clean, tidy, and well-organized work area.
Assist in preparing all mise-en-place for all relevant menus.
Help cooks during peak periods.
Knowledge and application of all relevant health department rules/regulations (HACCP).
Preparation, use, and maintenance of the tools required for each service provided.
