About the role

At Grupo Nortempo we are recruiting for one of our clients, a company in the metal sector specialised in machining and repair of metal parts, located in the Pontevedra area, a:

The selected candidate will join the production area to take on a full technical role within the machining process, taking part from part design through to final manufacture. We are looking for a profile able to work autonomously in custom manufacturing and short-run environments, guaranteeing quality and precision at every stage of the process.

What you'll do

  • Design and development of parts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

  • Preparation, interpretation and verification of technical drawings (tolerances, dimensions and fits).

  • CAM programming with Mastercam 2D/3D, defining toolpaths, machining strategies and tools.

  • Preparation and set-up of the milling machine or CNC centre: workholding, tool selection, defining datums and adjustments.

  • Machining of parts according to drawing and program, in custom and short-run work.

  • Dimensional quality control, taking measurements during and after the process.

  • Basic maintenance of the workstation and collaboration with the team for continuous process improvement.
