The role

From GRUPO NORTEMPO, we are looking for a leading company in design, manufacturing, and assembly of metal structures a PROJECT MANAGER / SITE MANAGER, to join their team in Arteixo (A Coruña).

This is a key position within the organization, with overall responsibility for managing metal structure projects, involving travel to sites nationwide, primarily.

What you'll do

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial, technical, and production management of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with deadlines, budgets, quality, and client satisfaction, from project award through to final financial close-out.

Commercial management of the contract and direct client relations.
Negotiation of modifications, scope expansions, and price adjustments.
Technical management of the project, coordinating with the engineering department to optimize solutions and construction processes.
Planning and coordination of on-site work, managing both in-house resources and subcontractors (crane operators, erectors, etc.).
Operational supervision and leadership of the project, relying on a Site Supervisor at each site for direct support.
Ensuring compliance with agreed deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
Preparation of progress certifications, financial monitoring, and final project close-out.

How you'll work

Frequency: Varies by project. Generally weekly site visits or client meetings.
Location: Unless the client requires continuous on-site presence, you will return home daily when distance and schedule permit.
Location: The vast majority of projects are located within Spain.
Expenses: Travel, meal, and accommodation expenses are covered, or a per diem is provided, according to company policy.

Requirements

University degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or related fields).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Willingness to travel to project sites.
Experience and knowledge in metal structures.
Good command of English, both written and spoken (at least an intermediate-advanced level).
Proficiency in BIM, preferably Tekla Structures.
Organized, proactive profile, with leadership skills and a results-oriented mindset.
