Office package? It will be your day-to-day tool, so we need you to be accustomed to using it. In your day-to-day work you will primarily use Excel, so proficient handling of both tools will be necessary.
What kind of person are we looking for? We would like the person joining us to be a team player. Although you will be based at the Arteixo center, you will have contact with people from the Management Control area at other centers to share best practices and recommendations with your colleagues. In addition, it will be essential that you have strong attention to detail, initiative, that you are an organized person, accustomed to making decisions, and eager to take on new challenges.
We will value knowledge of the SAP environment and experience with BI tools (Power BI, Power Pivot), although it is not a must for the position. If you do not have this knowledge, we will train you.
Minimum years of experience? We are not rigid on this point, as we know that each learning path is different, but we would like you to have at least 3 years of experience in Management Control, Reporting, and Cost Control, preferably in the food industry or similar sector.
Higher education in Administration and Finance, Business Administration and Management, or similar. A master's degree in Finance or Management Control will also be valued.
English? We would like the person joining the position to have a proficient level of English to communicate with our colleagues at subsidiaries when necessary or with suppliers, but you will not use it in your day-to-day work.
At Grupo Nueva Pescanova, a vertically integrated multinational and leader in the seafood marketing sector, we are looking to bring on a profile for a Management Control Manager for our Arteixo Industrial Center
You will plan, organize, direct, and supervise administrative and financial management
You will supervise the company's general and analytical accounting and financial statements, as well as control of production monitoring.
You will prepare the annual budget, variance analysis, and best estimates.
You will calculate the cost of new products, supported by the Project Management and R&D departments, for quotation to customers through the Commercial department.
You will manage documentation for raw materials subject to tariff quotas.
You will process daily warehouse movements in the central SAP system, resolving the daily issues that arise to keep inventories and their valuations updated in real time.
You will record and control import operations of Vannamei shrimp raw material of both domestic and international origin.
You will obtain and verify data and carry out daily monitoring of production.
You will prepare daily and weekly reports on actual costs, yields, and variances by product.
You will support the analysis of variances against standards.
You will review performance and productivity indicators in order to establish better estimates and standards for the annual budget.
You will supervise the entries for Raw Materials, Finished Products, and Bulk Products in the Item Master, both in the SAP environment and in the Logistics/Manufacturing AS400 environment.
You will validate and record daily information on Personnel Hours and machine hours for production monitoring.
You will carry out the monthly closing of Analytical Accounting (monitoring of overhead costs, cold storage, consumption, analysis of accruals, and their regularization)
You will enter SAP orders for estimated utility consumption (Electricity, Water, Gas, etc.), temporary agency personnel, and other services not included in the Maintenance Department.
You will design and implement controls, as well as the reports needed for daily monitoring of production outsourced to other industrial centers, recording actual daily data and monitoring their associated costs.
Our Arteixo Industrial Center, in A Coruña, specializes in the cooking of seafood products, such as vannamei shrimp or prawn, among others. It has two main lines dedicated to cooking shrimp, which is then packaged in different formats: either frozen or refrigerated. Additionally, it has two more lines, one of which is dedicated to producing preparations for broths and paellas.
In terms of figures, it has an annual production capacity of 11,600 tons and a team of around 150 workers.
