Resp. Continuous Improvement Manager Arteixo Industrial Center

At Grupo Nueva Pescanova we are looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Manager at our Arteixo Industrial Center

• Improve plant performance through the development of our excellence system (Pescanova Way) by collaborating in the deployment of Lean tools across different areas of the plant.

• Lead continuous improvement workshops (SMED, standardization). Detect and support on-site the development of operational standards (reduce process variability and improve training). Describe the best operating practices in each area.

• Increase equipment performance through observations and data analysis from production lines (OEE, waste, overfill, downtime analysis, productivity...).

• Optimize flows in different areas (KANBAN, SMED, etc.) in coordination with operations.

• Improve equipment reliability through TPM activities (Total Productive Maintenance).

• Participate in problem-solving on the plant floor (QRCI, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, 8D).

• Train collaborators in the fundamentals of continuous improvement and the use of digital tools.

• Standardize and maintain the documentation of the improvement system at the Center. Coordinate the creation and updating of standard documents. Review and support the implementation of standards across different areas, ensuring established rules, excellence criteria, quality, and food safety.

• Drive improvement initiatives.

And for this, what do we expect you to have?

Our Arteixo Industrial Center, in A Coruña, specializes in the cooking of seafood products, such as vannamei shrimp or prawn, among others. It has two main lines dedicated to cooking shrimp, which is then packaged in different formats: either frozen or refrigerated. Additionally, it has two more lines, one of which is dedicated to producing preparations for broths and paellas.

In terms of figures, it has an annual production capacity of 11,600 tons and a team of around 150 workers.

What are the main functions and responsibilities of the position?

• We would like you to have a degree in engineering or similar studies. We will value specific training in Industrial Organization. We are not rigid in this regard, as we prioritize experience in industrial environments.

• Knowledge of the industrial environment, valuing solid knowledge in Lean Manufacturing.

• Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skills in an operational environment.

• Proactivity and the ability to propose improvements.

We are looking for a person with at least 3 years of experience in similar positions at an industrial level.

We would like the person joining us to be agile, proactive, results-oriented, accustomed to making decisions and proposing improvements, with interpersonal skills and analytical capacity.

We are looking for a person who adapts easily to change and enjoys learning on a daily basis.

A solid level of English is required for the position to communicate with our colleagues at subsidiaries when necessary or with suppliers, but you will not use it on a daily basis.

Geographic mobility will not be necessary, as you will work on-site at our Arteixo center.
