What you'll do

As a Test and Launch Infrastructure Construction Project Manager, you will lead the development, expansion, and improvement of test and launch infrastructures, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, schedule, and safety objectives. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and public bodies to ensure the proper definition, execution, and commissioning of facilities. You will manage the resources, risks, and technical requirements needed to drive the growth and operability of PLD Space's test and launch capabilities. 

  • Technical management and definition of interventions on general infrastructures and facilities in the Teruel testing and trials area  
  • Support in the maintenance and document management of test facilities. Or participation in the sizing phases of the infrastructure, from its origin to future expansions of test facilities.  
  • Participation in the strategic planning of the project: scope, schedule, milestones, and budget and risk management.  
  • Provision of data for the main project management KPIs: quality, safety, cost, and schedule.  
  • Collaboration and coordination with different PLD Space engineering departments to ensure the issuance of user requirements for the projected infrastructures and to ensure that infrastructure development projects meet user requirements.
  • Technical supervision of infrastructures: ensuring the issuance of technical documentation for infrastructure execution projects (drawings, reports, specifications) and ensuring the execution of infrastructure in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Economic project management, controlling the budget and analyzing variances.
  • Management of project-related contracts, supported by PLD Space's legal and procurement departments.
  • Risk management and identification of technical, economic, and operational risks, and mitigation plans for them. Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations during the development of infrastructures, in collaboration with the HSE department.  
  • Coordination of intervening public administrations, at national, regional, and municipal levels, as well as sectoral ones as applicable. Management of permits, licenses, and authorizations.  

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience in construction project management of infrastructures, of more than 3 years, preferably in construction projects for launch bases and/or engine test benches.  
  • Demonstrable experience in project drafting and/or construction management, of more than 3 years  
  • Proficiency in technical software (AutoCAD, CYPE, etc.) and planning software (MS Project or similar). BIM knowledge is valued.
  • Experience in structural calculation is valued  
  • Possibility of traveling (occasionally internationally, and regularly to test bench facilities and launch bases located within national territory).
