Mission

As an Electrical Technician at PLD Space, your main mission is: 

Plan, control, and execute manufacturing, assembly, and integration procedures for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), test benches, and electrical cabinets to support the verification and validation activities of avionics equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing, assembly, and integration
  • Read, interpret, analyze, and work with manufacturing, assembly, and integration procedures, wiring diagrams, electrical and mechanical blueprints, bills of materials, parts lists, and schematics.
  • Execute high-quality electrical wiring manufacturing and assembly processes with reliability. 
  • Execute assembly, integration, and maintenance activities for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), specific test equipment (SCOE), and test benches for avionics.
  • Support the avionics EGSE team in First Article Inspection (FAI) activities on test benches and installations prior to launch.
  • Support the manufacturing, assembly, and integration (MAI) activities of flight avionics hardware.
  • Manage work orders and prepare the necessary parts and materials.
  • Manage and report on the progress of manufacturing, assembly, and integration (MAI) activities through the management system (ERP).
  • Documentation
  • Create controlled technical documentation on manufacturing, assembly, and integration criteria and recommendations, including lessons learned and experiences to support continuous improvement in this area.
  • Generate reports on manufacturing, assembly, integration, and inspection to communicate results accurately, completely, and clearly.
  • Interfaces
  • Collaborate with the production engineering team to support the production processes of initial batches.
  • Serve as an interface with warehouse and laboratory technicians to request and collect the necessary materials 

Required Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification in electrical/electronic disciplines.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in manufacturing and assembly of electrical cabinets. 
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the development and assembly of test benches.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of basic mechanical and electrical hand tools. 
  • Ability to adapt to constantly changing tasks and a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and precision. 
  • Strong communication skills.
