What we're looking for

Ten years or more in cybersecurity—engineering, architecture, vulnerability management, application and cloud security, or technology risk—with recent application to AI security and GenAI.
Having built or led vulnerability and threat management capabilities: risk-based prioritization, remediation governance, metrics, and reporting to management.
Hands-on knowledge of AI risks: LLM, RAG, agents, model and API, data, and supply chain.
Implementation of security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
Leadership and delivery in complex regulated environments. Experience in the banking or financial sector will be especially valued.
Professional English: the process and the role are international.

The role

At Q-tech, we are looking for an AI Security CoE Lead for a client in the financial sector: the asset manager of one of Europe's largest banks, with over one trillion euros under management and a technology hub under construction in Madrid.

The company is creating its AI Security Center of Excellence from scratch. The business is adopting generative AI and agents at a speed that the current manual review model cannot absorb, and the goal is to replace it with automated controls integrated into the development cycle. This is a foundational position, reporting to the Head of Cybersecurity under the CSO.

What you'll do

Define the AI security strategy, operating model, roadmap, governance, and service catalog.
Lead the secure enablement of AI alongside business, technology, risk, compliance, and audit.
Establish AI security standards, controls, and metrics.
Coordinate architecture, red teaming, engineering, data protection, and assurance capabilities.
Build the team and manage specialist consultants and vendors.
