Surgical Block Nurse

From Randstad Health, we are looking for a surgical block nurse for a premium private hospital.

You will be the reassuring presence that brings calm and rigor to the operating room: you will prepare the patient and the environment, support the team with discreet coordination, and ensure that every gesture is safe and meaningful. You will turn pressure into order and cooperation, maintaining sterility, anticipating needs, and caring for the details that make the difference. You will close each procedure with clear handovers and humane care that dignifies the process.

Functions:

1. Prepare the patient and environment: verify identity, consent, and preparation; set up the operating room and equipment.
2. Ensure sterility and safety: maintain the sterile field, perform counts, and apply the surgical safety checklist.
3. Assist during the procedure: instrument and circulate, anticipate the team's needs, and ensure smooth communication.
4. Manage positioning and comfort: protect skin integrity and neuromuscular function, monitor pain and normothermia.
5. Coordinate with Anesthesia and the PACU/ICU: facilitate smooth transitions before, during, and after surgery with clear and complete handovers.
6. Manage equipment and supplies: check proper functioning, traceability of instruments and implants, and report incidents.
7. Document and improve: record accurately in the medical record, participate in sessions, drills, and continuous improvement actions.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Experience of at least 1 year in surgical block nursing positions is valued.
• Be a registered member of the medical association
• Availability to work full-time shifts in 7-hour afternoon schedules from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Será la presencia que aporta calma y rigor dentro del quirófano: prepara al paciente y el entorno, sostiene al equipo con coordinación discreta y asegura que cada gesto sea seguro y con sentido. Convertirá la presión en orden y cooperación, manteniendo la esterilidad, anticipándose a las necesidades y cuidando los detalles que marcan la diferencia. Cerrará cada intervención con traspasos claros y una atención humana que dignifique el proceso.

Funciones:

1. Preparar paciente y entorno: verificar identidad, consentimiento y preparación; acondicionar quirófano y material.
2. Garantizar esterilidad y seguridad: mantener campo estéril, realizar recuentos y aplicar checklist de seguridad quirúrgica.
3. Asistir durante la intervención: instrumentar/circular, anticipar necesidades del equipo y asegurar una comunicación fluida.
4. Cuidar posicionamiento y confort: proteger la integridad cutánea y neuromuscular, vigilar dolor y normotermia.
5. Coordinar con Anestesia y REA/URPA: facilitar transiciones pre, intra y postoperatorias con traspasos claros y completos.
6. Gestionar equipos y material: comprobar funcionamiento, trazabilidad de instrumental/implantes y comunicar incidencias.
7. Registrar y mejorar: documentar con precisión en el HC, participar en sesiones, simulacros y acciones de mejora continua.

• Grado en Enfermería.
• Valorable experiencia de al menos 1 año en puestos de enfermera/o Bloque Quirúrgico.
• Estar colegiado/a
• Disponibilidad para realizar la jornada completa en turnos de 7 horas en horario de tarde de 15 a 22.
