From the Quirónsalud private hospitals in Madrid, we are looking for a Surgical Block Coordinator at our Hospital Universitario La Luz, located in the Moncloa area (C/ Maestro Ángel Llorca, 8, Chamberí).

• Coordinate and supervise the healthcare activity of the surgical block, guaranteeing compliance with protocols, circuits, and quality standards.

• Manage and coordinate the nursing and TCAE (Nursing Assistant) team, ensuring adequate staff organization and healthcare coverage.

• Ensure patient quality and safety, verifying the correct development of surgical activity.

• Supervise the maintenance, conservation, and correct use of surgical equipment.

• Guarantee the availability of sterile material, instrumentation, and the resources necessary for surgical activity.

• Control the stock of drugs, medical devices, and warehouse material in the surgical area.

• Anticipate the needs for instrumentation and apparatus based on the surgical schedule.

• Supervise the correct completion of healthcare records, informed consents, and the Surgical Safety Checklist (LVQ).

• Lead, motivate, and develop the team, promoting continuous training and the achievement of objectives and indicators.

• Drive the operational efficiency of the surgical block, minimizing incidents and delays in patient care.

Coordinate and facilitate activities related to the care process, ensuring high-quality care among the professionals you coordinate, applying the knowledge specific to your role, and following the guidelines established by the center based on care protocols for each area, contributing to the delivery of excellent service.

• Degree in Nursing.
• Additional training or accreditation in management and leadership is valued.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the operating room.
• Previous experience in team management is valued.
• Communication skills and leadership.
