Quality Engineer

Randstad Professional is looking for a Quality Engineer to join an important company in the automotive sector located in Borja. If you have experience in demanding industrial environments, mastery of Core Tools (IATF, AMFE, 8D) and are motivated by managing quality on the plant floor, this is your opportunity!

As a Quality Engineer reporting to the Quality Director, your main functions will be:

• Quality assurance on the plant floor and problem solving: Documentation and monitoring of control plans, handling and management of customer claims using 8D methodologies, root cause analysis and definition of corrective and containment actions.
• Launch of new projects and process assurance: Execution of APQP, preparation and maintenance of AMFE and control plans, establishing limit samples and conducting process audits to ensure consistent manufacturing processes.
• Team coordination and training: Direct management and leadership of the quality inspectors under your responsibility, as well as ongoing training of production line operators in quality standards.
• Operational supervision and intervention capability: Active presence on the plant floor with authority to stop production in the event of deviations or impacts to the quality system, ensuring compliance with IATF standards, customer requirements, and safety and environmental guidelines.

• Education and Qualifications: University degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar), diploma, or higher-level vocational training.
• Previous Experience: Between 2 and 5 years of previous experience in quality departments within the industrial sector, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Specific Technical Knowledge: Mastery of quality tools (Core Tools: AMFE, Control Plans, 8D, Flow Diagrams) and practical knowledge of industry standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 / 6.5...)
• Software Skills and Languages: Intermediate level of English (spoken and written), advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Navision) will be positively valued.
• Key Competencies: Strong results and quality orientation, decision-making capability on the plant floor, leadership in managing inspectors, and strong communication and negotiation skills with customers.
