The role
At Randstad Salud, we are looking for a full-time optician who wants to join a cutting-edge and innovative project within the optical sector.
What you'll do
Visual examination: Evaluate the patient's visual acuity (refraction) to detect myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, or presbyopia.
Preventive eye health: Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry) and observe the fundus or corneal surface to detect possible anomalies (such as cataracts or suspected glaucoma) and refer to an ophthalmologist if necessary.
Contactology: Fit contact lenses, teach the patient how to put them in and take them out, and perform follow-ups to ensure there is no rejection or corneal damage.
Aesthetic and technical advice: Help the customer choose the frame that best suits their physiognomy (visagism) and their needs.
Lens selection: Explain and recommend the different types of lenses (single vision, progressive, occupational) and treatments (anti-reflective, blue light filters, photochromic).
Cross-selling: Offer complementary products such as contact lens solutions, prescription sunglasses, or artificial tears.
Edging: Cut the lenses so they fit perfectly into the chosen frame (many modern opticians have automatic in-house edgers).
Assembly and repairs: Assemble glasses, change nose pads, adjust temples, or replace missing screws.
Final adjustment: Adapt the glasses to the customer's face at the time of delivery so they do not pinch or slip off.
