About the role

At RDT we are looking for a Category Manager to lead the global purchasing strategy across several key categories within a multinational industrial environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing sourcing strategies that generate direct impact on the bottom line, optimizing costs, ensuring quality, and strengthening the supply chain globally.

The role has a multi-plant and international scope, with high interaction with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers.

What you'll do

  • Define and implement the global purchasing strategy for assigned categories, aligned with business objectives

  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing processes, including RFx, supplier evaluation, negotiation, awarding, and contract formalization

  • Identify and capture sustainable savings opportunities with direct impact on results

  • Manage relationships with strategic suppliers, ensuring optimal levels of service, quality, compliance, and cost· Collaborate closely with internal areas such as operations, finance, R&D, and business to ensure strategic alignment

  • Monitor supplier performance and KPI compliance, as well as track savings

  • Analyze market trends, risks, and opportunities within the subcategories under their responsibility

  • Drive productivity improvements, automation, and operational excellence in procurement processes

  • Plant Investments: equipment investments, installation and commissioning services, revamping, HVAC installations, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations, civil works, and other plant investments

  • Manufacturing Equipment: rental of lifting and material handling equipment, material processing equipment, quality and laboratory equipment, auxiliary equipment, and other industrial equipment

  • Facility Management: security services, cafeteria and canteen, cleaning, industrial clothing and laundry, lighting leasing, and other general services

  • Rentals: rental of offices, warehouses, factories, and other spaces

Key requirements
