Senior Internal Audit Technician

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for professionals with a university degree in Actuarial Sciences, Finance, Business Administration (ADE), or similar, who have at least 5 years of experience in the insurance sector or financial entities in external or internal audit positions. Knowledge of insurance market regulations and legislation will be taken into consideration: Solvency II, Anti-Money Laundering, IDD, Criminal Compliance, GDPR, PGCEA, Insurance Contract Law, DORA, Sustainability, IFRS.

The selected person must have analytical capacity, the ability to work in a team, communication skills, as well as initiative and commitment to excellence in the execution of the work performed under limited supervision, with an attitude of initiative and independent judgment.

Also, knowledge of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, as well as knowledge of methodologies for process, risk, and control analysis, internal control (COSO), and criminal risk management. Regarding IT tools, proficiency in Cognos, ACL, Power BI, and SPSS will be valued. Professional certifications such as CIA, CSA, CISA, and CFE will also be valued.

What will you have to do?

The Internal Audit Technician profile will be responsible for everything related to the execution of work regarding the Annual Audit Plans of the Spanish companies of the Reale Group.

Some of the more specific functions of the Internal Audit Technician - Madrid:

Participate in the planning of assigned audits regarding their objective and scope, selecting the tests to be performed for their optimal development, and preparing the work program.

Manage meetings with the audited areas during the different phases of the assigned work: planning, execution, communication of results, issuance of the final report, etc.

Prepare the Draft Audit Reports, which include the results of the analyses performed, the evaluation of the internal control system, and risk management.

Detect incidents and their level of criticality, reporting the corresponding improvement actions and the action plans defined by the area for the rectification of the incidents.

Execution of fieldwork and preparation of working papers for the purpose of adequately documenting the work performed, in accordance with internal Internal Audit procedures.

Issue recommendations on the evaluated processes, and agree with the audited area on the improvement actions and their implementation dates.

Execute the follow-up process for recommendations, ensuring the adequate implementation of action plans (through the corresponding verifications), providing support to the auditee so that they can be implemented within the committed deadlines.

Feed, manage, and document audit work in the application for the Integral Management of the Internal Audit Function.

Participate in the preparation of periodic reporting to Management, the Group, the Audit Committee, and other hierarchical levels of the Company or the Group, regarding both the work performed and the follow-up of action plans pending implementation.

Collaborate in compliance with corporate internal audit policies, as well as other norms and regulations.

Be proactive in the continuous improvement of the Internal Audit Foundation, sharing professional best practices with the members of the Function.
