We are looking to bring in an Electrical System Operator to join the team of the Canary Islands Control Center Department of Red Eléctrica, someone willing to develop all their talent at Red Eléctrica. 

What you'll do

1. Analyze and carry out operation work in the electrical control centers.
1.1. Analyze the operation and safety of the electrical system within the scope of the Control Center.
1.2. Manage work on the Transmission Grid and the commissioning of new facilities, including verifying their proper operation.
1.3. Carry out periodic Operation studies and reports.
1.4. Where applicable, carry out maneuvers via remote control of facilities in the assigned operational area.
1.5. Where applicable, monitor peninsular demand and allocate system adjustment services.
1.6. Where applicable, monitor demand and generation scheduling for the Canary Islands or Balearic Islands electrical systems and issue corresponding orders for real-time operation in those systems.
1.7. Where applicable, monitor renewable-origin production as well as issue production setpoints.
1.8. Where applicable, monitor generation scheduling and issue corresponding orders for real-time operation of the Ceuta and Melilla systems.
2. Participate in other activities related to the Operations Management.
2.1. Prepare the report on restrictions analysis for the PBF.
2.2. Complete the IDIO and the Relatorio.

What we're looking for

1.    Minimum education: university degree in Industrial Engineering (electrical, electronic, electrotechnical, energy).
2.    Knowledge of English and/or French is valued.

How you'll work

A training contract is offered to obtain professional practice (formerly an internship contract) for 6 months, with the possibility of conversion to a permanent contract upon completion.

During the 6 months, you will complete a program developed using a theoretical-practical methodology so that you can perform the functions of the operators of Red Eléctrica's control centers. The entire program will be supervised by a team of Redeia professionals who will support you at all times.
