We are looking to hire an Electrical System Reliability Technician to join the Electrical System Reliability Dp. team at Red Eléctrica.

What you'll do

1. Model and analyze the dynamic behavior of the electrical system in different operating and development scenarios, to evaluate its reliability, stability, and supply quality.

2. Define technical criteria and methodologies applicable to electrical system studies, ensuring their coherence, traceability, and alignment with system reliability objectives.

3. Perform specialized technical studies of the current and future electrical system, to identify risks and opportunities for improvement in the operation and the transmission grid.

4. Analyze and evaluate the results of the studies performed, proposing efficient technical solutions that improve security, resilience, and supply quality.

5. Analyze real electrical system incidents, in coordination with other DGO units, to identify root causes and define structural improvement measures.

6. Evaluate and propose the application of new technological advances that contribute to improving the resilience and reliability of the electrical system.

7. Analyze and improve the methodologies, criteria, and models used in the department's technical studies, guaranteeing the reliability and robustness of the results.

8. Apply technical system reliability knowledge in unique grid and technology projects, providing expert judgment from the perspective of the system's dynamic behavior.

9. Apply technical knowledge in system reliability to Transport Directorate projects and unique technological projects, ensuring their coherence with system stability and security criteria.

10. Collaborate with other DDS departments in the technical analysis of grid access requests, evaluating their viability from the perspective of system strength.

11. Define and apply criteria and methodologies for technical studies associated with grid access, ensuring consistency and technical rigor.

12. Prepare and review mandatory technical reports derived from reliability, access, and incident studies, guaranteeing clarity, traceability, and utility for decision-making.

13. Participate in national and international working groups and technical forums in the field of electrical system reliability (e.g., ENTSO-E, CIGRE), providing Redeia's technical vision and criteria and contributing to the development of sector standards and methodologies.

14. Facilitate technical information and specialized criteria regarding system reliability to regulatory bodies, system agents, and other internal units, guaranteeing the quality, coherence, and transparency of the content provided.

15. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the area's procedures, methodologies, and tools, incorporating learnings derived from analyzed studies and incidents, to strengthen the department's technical knowledge base and promote innovation in the field of electrical system reliability.
