At Rheinmetall Expal Munitions, we are looking for an Environmental Specialist Technician to join our Environment department at the Murcia factory.

The mission of this position is to ensure the effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of sustainability, environmental, and energy requirements at the Murcia site, guaranteeing legal and corporate compliance, the availability of auditable evidence, and the integration of environmental, energy, and ESG criteria into daily operations, improvement projects, and the site's industrial decisions.

What you'll do

  • Environmental compliance and operational control: ensure the monitoring of permits, authorizations, licenses, etc.; verify compliance with legal and corporate requirements regarding atmospheric emissions, discharges, waste, soil, water, noise, chemicals, and storage; maintain an updated inventory of environmental aspects
  • Environmental and energy management system: maintain the requirements of the ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems locally; participate in internal, external, and certification audits; contribute to management reviews; promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for efficiency, impact reduction, and control optimization
  • Energy performance and emissions reduction: monitor energy consumption, significant energy uses, energy performance indicators, baselines, deviations, and savings opportunities; provide support for the development of energy optimization plans
  • ESG reporting, indicators, and data quality: collect, validate, and periodically report the site's environmental, energy, and sustainability data; prepare KPIs for energy, emissions, waste, water, environmental compliance, corrective actions, incidents, objectives, and improvement plan progress
  • Integration of sustainability into operations and projects: evaluate environmental impacts, permit needs, energy capacity, and efficiency requirements; coordinate with engineering and maintenance the implementation of control, measurement, monitoring, and impact reduction measures
  • Chemical, product, and supply chain management: provide support for compliance with requirements applicable to substances, mixtures, safety data sheets, classification, labeling, restrictions, substances of concern, and communication in the supply chain; collaborate in the collection of information associated with REACH, CLP, SCIP, PPWR, or other regulatory requirements
