Banco Santander is looking for a Press and PR Coordinator based in Santander.

Reporting to the Communications and External Relations Department, the Press and PR Coordinator will be the face and voice of Santander to the media and collaborators. Your work will involve managing these relationships, as well as creating and coordinating the materials needed to give visibility, locally and internationally, to everything happening at Santander.

In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

• Press Office

• Relationship with media at local, national, and international levels.
• Writing, sending, and following up on press releases.
• Managing interviews and feature stories.
• Preparing press kits and other press materials.
• Designing and preparing press conferences.
• Monitoring and measuring impact.
• Hiring and coordinating agencies.

• Alliances and Collaborations

• Identifying, contacting, and coordinating collaborations with media / strategic profiles / influencers.
• Internal communications - coordination with internal teams.

• External Relations and Protocol

• Public relations and protocol.
• Hiring and coordinating PR agencies.
• Coordinating and assisting with press trips.

• Demonstrable experience in press agencies and/or press departments (Required).
• Proven track record in event management and PR (Required).
• Experience in crisis and reputation management (Required).
• Experience in cultural projects, especially in art, and with international audiences will be highly valued (Desirable).
• Experience working and coordinating with internal teams in large corporations/companies will be valued (Desirable).

• University degree in journalism, communications, or a related field (Required).

• Knowledge of the media ecosystem (Required).
• Proficiency in text, image, video, and AI editing software (Required).
• Proficiency in database and emailing management software (Required).
• Excellent writing skills (Required).
• Strategic vision and the ability to translate it into concrete, executable plans (Required).
