About the role

Do you want to lead the connectivity architecture of the next generation of smart appliances? We are looking for an Embedded System Architect – IoT Connectivity to define the technical foundations that will enable a secure, reliable, and scalable connected experience across our entire IoT product line.

What you'll do

  • Design and lead the complete connectivity architecture for IoT devices: hardware, firmware, network protocols, and cloud.
  • Evaluate and integrate wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee, Thread, Matter, NFC, cellular), ensuring performance, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Define the communication architecture from appliance to cloud (MQTT, HTTPS, APIs, data models).
  • Design secure and fault-tolerant mechanisms for OTA firmware and software updates.
  • Develop provisioning processes, key and certificate management, and the complete lifecycle of the connected device.
  • Ensure end-to-end privacy and security by applying standards (OWASP IoT, PSA Certified, SESIP, GDPR).
  • Create clear architectural documentation: MBSE diagrams, data flows, specifications, and APIs.
  • Provide expert support in troubleshooting, performance analysis, and resolving connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with embedded software, cloud, product, manufacturing, and quality teams; and provide technical leadership to junior engineers.

Nice to have

  • Experience with embedded Linux.
  • Knowledge of mobile apps for provisioning/control.
  • Familiarity with RF regulations (FCC, CE RED).
  • Experience with analytics or ML on IoT data.
