The role

Schneider Electric is one of the world's largest manufacturers in the data center infrastructure sector. Within this business line, Schneider has one of the largest plants in the world in Barcelona for the manufacturing of prefabricated data centers for the leading cloud and service providers, providing coverage to all of Europe, South America, and the Middle East.

The BCN plant specializes in ETO (Engineering to Order) solutions for the Secure Power Division, mainly prefabricated data centers and power modules, offering an end-to-end solution composed entirely of Schneider components, from the quoting process and solution definition to commissioning at the customer's site and their subsequent maintenance plan.

Description:

In a context of exponential business growth and expansion of our facilities, we are looking to bring in a highly autonomous and motivated professional to join this strategic project. You will be part of a 6-person team within the Supply Chain, Procurement & Master Cost team, responsible for coordinating the end-to-end supply chain of the business, managing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers.

What you'll do

  • Analyze BOMs and cross-check them against purchase orders, available inventory, and material in transit to identify shortages and supply risks.
  • Perform the material readiness assessment for each project or production unit, ensuring that all critical components are available before the start of each manufacturing phase.
  • Generate and maintain material gap reports, identifying pending quantities, committed dates, and possible impacts on the production plan.
  • Coordinate daily with the Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams to resolve supply incidents and guarantee operational continuity.
  • Translate the manufacturing plan into concrete material requirements, aligning component availability with committed production dates.
  • Create and release picking orders according to the manufacturing schedule, ensuring that the correct material is available at the required time and location.
  • Ensure full material availability for each production phase (structure, mechanical, electrical, integration, FAT, etc.), minimizing interruptions and line waits.
  • Monitor purchasing and shipping progress through supplier follow-up to anticipate deviations and activate corrective actions before they affect production.
  • Maintain the accuracy of master data related to material planning, BOMs, and picking orders within the ERP.
  • Develop performance indicators related to material availability, production plan compliance, shortages, and picking efficiency.
  • Participate in daily follow-up meetings, providing visibility on material risks and mitigation plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing material readiness, kitting, picking, and production supply processes.
