Field Technician - Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) for Primary and Secondary Distribution in Catalonia

• Develop field technician functions for service activities under the supervision of your coordinator
• Comply with safety policies, practices, and procedures at all times.
• Lead services by executing Foreman functions during services provided at customer facilities, acting as the visible figure of the work team
• Provide preventive technical support to customers during assistance at their facilities
• Services: installation, commissioning, and technical support of the Switchgear product ranges
• Respond to service calls in a timely and effective manner for repairs and troubleshooting.
• Reporting for site visits including; Spare parts, defective parts, and equipment repairs.
• Build strong relationships with customers and service partners
• Internal collaboration with the different SEE departments
• Perform detection of business opportunities

You will be responsible for providing professional services to Schneider Electric customers, including on-site technical analysis to resolve customer issues and performing field service tasks across the entire range of Switchgear equipment - mainly (but not exclusively) the following: Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) for Primary Distribution, Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) for Secondary Distribution.

• Fundamental Electromechanical Knowledge:
• Experience as a field technician performing technical execution work in the field of medium voltage and high voltage products in the areas of after-sales, technical assistance, or maintenance. Electrical, electromechanical, and electronic.
• Knowledge of LV-MV-HV electrical risk.
• Knowledge of Occupational Risk Prevention.

• Aptitude to acquire new technical knowledge, especially specific Schneider Electric platforms and tools.

• Skills to interact effectively with customers, identifying and resolving their problems efficiently.
• Effective communicator both orally and in writing
• Teamwork and Collaboration
• Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating and sharing knowledge.
• Knowledge in Transformers and Protections: Skill in problem diagnosis and ability to find solutions, accustomed to working in environments with pressure to achieve results/objectives. High planning and organization skills.
• Technical knowledge of electronic/electrical component theory.

• Service vocation and customer orientation, negotiation and influence skills

• Continuous travel at a national/international level.

• Technician, Higher Technician / Technical Engineer in Electrotechnics with at least 2 years of related experience, or having 4-5 years of equivalent experience in a related field, or equivalent combinations of education and experience
