The role

We are looking for a Data Governance profile with a clearly hands-on mentality, capable of implementing data governance initiatives in medium and large organizations. This role is key to landing Data Governance frameworks into real, operational, and sustainable solutions, working directly with data, tools, and both technical and business teams.

What you'll do

  • Design and execute Data Governance and Data Management initiatives, from diagnosis to operational implementation.
  • Directly define and configure data governance policies, standards, and processes.
  • Implement end-to-end Data Quality initiatives: definition of rules, controls, validations, dashboards, and follow-up with the business.
  • Work hands-on with Data Governance and Metadata Management tools including: configuration of data catalogs, business glossaries, data lineage, and ownership and stewardship.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, BI, Architecture, and IT teams to integrate data governance into existing technical workflows.
  • Define and maintain pragmatic and actionable Data Governance operating models (roles, responsibilities, workflows).
  • Perform data maturity assessments using frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or others, and translate the results into concrete action plans.
  • Act as a technical-functional reference for the business, resolving real problems related to data quality, traceability, definition, and usage.
  • Support the adoption of data governance, working directly with users and data owners.
