The role

From the HORTICULTURAL business unit, we are looking for Laboratory Assistant profiles located at the Biotechnology Center in Cabrera de Mar, hiring will be carried out through a Temporary Employment Agency (ETT) to cover our production campaigns. We have vacancies for the periods of June to October and/or April/May to December.

The position is integrated into our Biotechnology Center in Cabrera de Mar, a technical and productive environment that provides direct support to the company's genetic improvement programs.

The center is made up of three specialized laboratories:

  • Cell Biology (in vitro culture and production of double haploid plants)
  • Molecular Applications (molecular markers, pathology diagnosis, and genetic analysis)
  • Pathology (evaluation of plant material)

The selected person will work transversally across the different laboratories, according to planning and production needs, promoting versatility and continuous learning.

What you'll do

  • Technical support in the execution of laboratory protocols in the different areas of the center.
  • Handling of plant material, greenhouse work, and microbiological work under controlled conditions.
  • Work under aseptic conditions (laminar flow cabinet).
  • Support in molecular techniques (DNA extraction, PCR, etc.).
  • Collaboration in pathology bioassays.
  • Preparation, dispensing, and control of culture media.
  • Basic maintenance of equipment and materials.
  • Management of common reagent stocks.
  • Coding and registration of biological material.
  • Basic interpretation of results and reporting to laboratory managers.
  • Order and maintenance of the facilities (laboratories and culture chambers).

Requirements
