FPGA Hardware Development Engineer (VHDL) – Aerospace Sector

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Telecommunications, Aerospace, Computer Engineering, or similar.
• Knowledge of digital electronics and VHDL programming.
• Basic knowledge of RTL design simulation and debugging.
• Familiarity with FPGA development tools such as Vivado, Quartus, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of digital communication interfaces.
• Interest in the aeronautical sector and critical systems.
• Intermediate level of English.

• Experience in academic projects or internships with FPGA.
• Knowledge of simulation and verification tools such as ModelSim, Questa, GHDL, or OSVVM.
• Knowledge of verification environments for VHDL.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment —CI/CD— workflows applied to FPGA/VHDL development.
• Knowledge of AMD/Xilinx or Microchip FPGA families.
• Notions of embedded systems or digital signal processing.
• Ability to learn, teamwork, and attention to detail.

We need to recruit an engineering professional to participate in a Defense sector project, within an aeronautical development team focused on digital hardware design and FPGA programming using VHDL.

The selected person will participate in the development of embedded electronic systems in high-reliability environments, collaborating in all phases of the design cycle. They will perform FPGA development using VHDL, support the definition of requirements and hardware architecture, and implement SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet communication interfaces.

Likewise, they will participate in certification processes according to DO-254 standards, functional verification, simulation, hardware/software integration, and platform validation. They will perform basic timing analysis, laboratory testing with oscilloscope and logic analyzer, and prepare the technical documentation for the developments.
