The role
The Senior Procurement Specialist - Telecommunications will be responsible for managing the search, negotiation, and contracting of telecommunications services necessary to build competitive solutions for clients and the company's business opportunities. The position will act as a connection point between Sales, Presales, Engineering, Operations, and vendors/carriers, identifying the best technical and commercial alternatives available in the market and ensuring competitive conditions in terms of price, coverage, capacity, delivery time, and service quality. They will play an especially relevant role in supporting the sales team during quotation processes, offers, RFP/RFQ, and the development of new business opportunities.
What you'll do
· Work jointly with the Sales and Presales team in the preparation of proposals and solutions for clients.
· Receive and analyze requests for quotation related to telecommunications services.
· Identify the most suitable vendors, carriers, and partners for each opportunity.
· Request and manage quotations (RFQ) with national and international vendors.
· Compare different technical and commercial alternatives.
· Negotiate prices and conditions that allow for maximizing the competitiveness and profitability of commercial offers.
· Provide the Sales team with information on costs, deadlines, conditions, and available alternatives.
· Provide support in RFP processes and client tenders.
· Follow up on quotations and ensure compliance with commercial deadlines.
· Propose alternative solutions when the initially requested option is not technically or economically viable.
Manage the search and contracting of services necessary to develop connectivity solutions, including:

· Negotiate rates, NRC, MRC, installation conditions, minimum commitments, deadlines, and commercial conditions.
· Negotiate framework agreements and preferential conditions with strategic vendors.
· Keep information regarding coverage, prices, and available capacities up to date.
· Periodically evaluate vendor competitiveness.
· Identify new carriers and partners in strategic markets.
· Manage commercial escalations related to vendors when necessary.
· Analyze the costs associated with each solution.
· Collaborate with Sales in defining the pricing of opportunities.
· Facilitate information for the calculation of commercial margins.
· Analyze MRC (Monthly Recurring Charges) and NRC (Non-Recurring Charges).
· Identify opportunities for cost reduction on existing services.
· Renegotiate contracts or circuits when better market conditions exist.
· Perform benchmarking of prices and conditions.
· Contribute to improving margins through sourcing and negotiation strategies.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the international telecommunications market.
· Analyze prices, routes, carriers, capacities, and market trends.
· Identify new connectivity opportunities and vendors.
· Know the main international routes and available infrastructure alternatives.
· Analyze new capacities derived from fiber deployments, new PoPs, and submarine cable systems.
· Share relevant market information with the Sales and Business Development teams.
Work closely with:
