What you'll do
At this time, we are looking for a Trader and Energy Markets - Spain and Italy whose main mission will be to lead the implementation and optimization of energy dispatch and the commercialization strategy of Solaria's assets in Italy, working from our headquarters in Madrid in close coordination with the local Trading, Regulation, and O&M teams, ensuring compliance with Italian electricity market regulations and maximizing asset value through optimal dispatch decisions in the short and medium term.
Design and execute the dispatching strategy for Solaria's photovoltaic assets in Italy, optimizing participation in the electricity market (MGP, MI, MSD).
Coordinate nomination processes, balancing services, and imbalance management with Terna and other Italian system operators (GME).
Analyze market prices, generation forecasts, and regulatory conditions to maximize asset returns.
Collaborate with the Trading, Asset Management, and O&M teams to align dispatch operations with the group's commercial strategy.
Monitor compliance with Italian electricity market rules and regulations (ARERA, Terna, or others where applicable).
Develop generation forecasting models and economic optimization for assets in Italy.
Prepare periodic reports on revenue, performance, imbalances, and improvement opportunities for the Department Manager.
Act as the point of contact between the central team in Madrid and local stakeholders in Italy.
