About the role

For our purchasing team, we are looking for a Planning Director to lead demand planning and supply management across all our verticals, ensuring the right product availability in stores and in the online channel. 

What you'll do


What will you be responsible for? 🎯

Your mission will be to ensure a balanced inventory, avoiding stockouts and excess merchandise. Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading seasonal planning (sales and purchases), ensuring alignment with the company's commercial, financial, and strategic objectives.

  • Translating business strategy into actionable demand, inventory, and Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans.

  • Working with the category team, ensuring purchasing decisions are aligned with projected demand and the strategy of each channel (Retail & eCommerce).

  • Establishing, structuring, and ensuring the execution of the IBP process, ensuring alignment between top-down projections (financial objectives) and bottom-up projections (commercial forecast).

  • Introducing tools and methodologies that optimize pre-season and in-season management, improving forecast accuracy and agility in decision-making.

  • Implementing analytical reports that enable detailed tracking and effective management of purchases.

  • Responsible for tracking and analyzing key KPIs: sales, margin, sell-through, weeks of cover, turnover, stock levels, and stockouts.

  • Analyzing trends and performance by category, channel, and season, identifying opportunities and risks.

  • Managing inventory optimization supported by advanced demand, turnover, cover, and profitability analysis by channel and category.

  • Leading initiatives to manage stock movements, replenishments, cancellations, and returns to suppliers while controlling inventory levels.

  • Designing, standardizing, and optimizing planning, demand management, and inventory processes, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with the business's financial objectives.

What we're looking for

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in teams related to Demand Planning, Retail Planning, Supply Chain, or Merchandising, with a minimum of 3 years in team management.

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration and Management, Economics, Mathematics, or a similar field.

  • Analytical profile, results-oriented, with the ability to transform data into actionable decisions.

  • Training in data analysis methodologies and Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and planning tools (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

  • Great attention to detail and the ability to work with high volumes of data.

  • Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Interest in the sports industry.

Nice to have

  • Experience in Retail, especially valued in the sports, fashion, or mass consumption sectors.

  • A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or Retail Management will be a plus.
