About the role

As a Data Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for orchestrating and optimizing the demand flow of our data service (Governance, Architecture, AI, Engineering, and Visualization). Your goal is to ensure flawless and agile delivery, managing the lifecycle of requests from their entry in JIRA to their value delivery for the business.

What you'll do

In your day-to-day:

Demand Orchestration:

  • Manage the end-to-end process of receiving, analyzing, prioritizing, and tracking business demands for the IT DATA team.
  • Centralize and refine all requests entering via JIRA within the IT DATA scope so they capture the relevant information for subsequent analysis by the team.
  • Manage the global backlog, ensuring the team works on what truly moves the needle for the business.
  • Articulate the flow between the Governance, Architecture/AI, Engineering, and Visualization areas.
  • Document and communicate demand management processes, procedures, and standards.

Methodology Leadership (Agile & Flow):

  • Agile Methodologies: Implementation and leadership of Kanban frameworks and Agile Sprints, adapting them to the needs of incidental maintenance and evolutionary projects.
  • Coordinate with technical leaders to remove blockers/dependencies and optimize team velocity.
  • Flow Management (JIRA): Backlog administration, task prioritization, and articulation of technical and business demand.
  • Ability to manage business users (data owners and stewards) and their delivery expectations, including them in the initiative lifecycle
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and blockers associated with requests for data products.
  • Performance KPIs: Preparation of service level reports (SLA, Cycle Time, Velocity, Burndown Chart, Team Capacity, Blockers Dashboard) to measure team health and performance.

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or similar.
  • Solid experience (3-5 years) in delivery management in DATA services environments and managing IT services and/or Projects.
  • Stakeholder and Business Management: Demonstrable experience in direct management of key business users, with the ability to manage priorities based on the value needs bring to the business and delivery expectations
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to "translate" business concepts into technical terms of data architectures to create clear delivery plans for business users.
  • IT Ecosystem Communication: Ability to coordinate dependencies and align delivery plans with other IT areas (Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, etc.).
  • Tool Mastery: Expert in JIRA Service Management and Jira Software (configuration of boards, status flows, and reporting of team performance and SLAs).
  • Agility: Deep knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and how to adapt them to an environment that mixes development (projects) with support (incidents).
