About the role

Your mission as an iMaintenance Engineer will be to improve the reliability, availability, and maintainability of railway systems through knowledge of their architecture, operation, failure modes, and maintenance, applying advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and digital technologies to optimize condition-based maintenance (CBM), predictive maintenance, decision-making, and lifecycle cost.

  • Analyze the architecture, functionality, IoT signals, and failure modes of train systems.
  • Review and optimize preventive, CBM, and predictive maintenance plans.
  • Evaluate reliability studies using FMECA, FTA, criticality analysis, and maintainability methodologies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of critical or recurring failures.
  • Define diagnostic and early fault detection criteria to improve train reliability, availability, and maintainability.
  • Apply advanced analytics and Machine Learning techniques to detect anomalies, degradations, and precursor failure patterns.
  • Develop solutions based on Computer Vision and Deep Learning for automatic asset inspection.
  • Apply Generative AI and intelligent assistants to facilitate access to technical knowledge and maintenance support.
  • Develop models and Digital Twins to simulate the behavior of railway systems and evaluate maintenance strategies.
  • Design indicators and dashboards to facilitate maintenance decision-making.
  • Translate engineering and maintenance needs into requirements for data and Artificial Intelligence solutions.
  • Evaluate the impact of implemented solutions on reliability, availability, and lifecycle cost.

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical or Energy specialization), or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Experience in Python development.
  • Minimum English level B2.
  • Knowledge of the railway sector and condition-based maintenance (CBM) and predictive maintenance is valued.
  • Experience in industrial equipment maintenance and reliability analysis.
  • Knowledge of FMEA/FMECA, root cause analysis, fault tree analysis (FTA), and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of industrial and railway protocols (CAN, MVB, Ethernet), signal processing, and Industrial IoT.
