At Talgo, we are looking to bring on board a Product Maintenance Engineer (Design) to take a direct part in developing solutions for Talgo's trains in commercial service.

The main mission will be to produce 3D models, 2D technical documentation, and support the different systems engineers by analysing solutions in terms of technical feasibility and cost. It will also involve participating in the validation of new components subject to customer approval.

What you'll do

  • Developing 3D CAD models of components and mechanical assemblies.
  • Producing 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings.
  • Participating in conceptual design and the definition of technical solutions.
  • Studying and analysing tolerances.
  • Generating technical documentation for the manufacturing and assembly of components, as well as modification proposals.
  • Performing simple calculations of volumes, weights, centres of gravity, etc.
  • Collaborating with other departments (production, quality, calculation).
  • Integrating modifications arising from failure analysis or continuous improvement.
  • Participating in root cause analysis (5 Whys, 8D).

What are we looking for?

  • Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor's plus Master's degree.
  • Work experience: 3 years in similar roles desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD tools:
  • NX (preferred)
  • ME-10 and/or AutoCAD
  • SolidWorks, CATIA or other equivalent tools.
  • Experience in the railway sector highly valued.
  • English level: B2 or higher.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical skills, teamwork, communication skills and initiative.
  • Availability for domestic and international travel.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis software valued: (ANSYS APDL or WORKBENCH, NX Simcenter 3D, LIMITCAE, etc.)
