Mechanical Engineer - Industrial Product

We are looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Industrial Product to join the engineering team of a tech company specializing in developing solutions for the retail sector and cash management systems, with offices in 📍Madrid.

🎯 What will your mission be?

• Participate in the mechanical design and development of compact and complex electromechanical equipment, from the initial design phases to industrialization and manufacturing.

• Design and outline assemblies and components manufactured by plastic injection, as well as metal components by sheet metal and machining, ensuring their functionality, quality, and manufacturability.

• Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA/DFM) criteria, optimizing designs to ensure product quality, facilitate manufacturing, and improve assembly processes.

• Work closely with the electronic hardware design department to properly integrate electronic components into the product, including connectors, PCBs, wiring, wiring routes, and thermal management systems.

• Coordinate, monitor, and provide technical direction to external engineering firms involved in product development.

• Prepare the technical documentation necessary for the manufacture of components and assemblies, both for in-house production and outsourced processes.

• Develop drawings, bills of materials (BOM), manufacturing documentation, assembly and disassembly guides, as well as instructions and exploded views of the equipment.

• Provide technical assistance to suppliers during the manufacturing processes, resolving doubts and ensuring that components are produced according to the defined specifications and requirements.

• Actively participate in solving technical problems and in the continuous improvement of the product, providing an analytical and manufacturing-oriented vision.

🧩 What are we looking for?

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.

• More than 15 years of experience in functions related to the design and development of industrial products, preferably in compact and somewhat complex electromechanical equipment.

• Solid experience in 3D mechanical design, industrialization, and development of plastic and metal components.

• Experience working with plastic injection parts, sheet metal, and machining.

• Professional level in SolidWorks or Solid Edge 3D, or equivalent CAD tools.

• Availability to travel occasionally to external manufacturing points.

• We are looking for a proactive, analytical, meticulous, and detail-oriented person, with the ability to work autonomously and, at the same time, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
